The third set of molars at the back of your mouth, known as your wisdom teeth, may develop in your adolescence or early adulthood. While you might be able to keep them, there is also a significant possibility that it will be necessary for us to remove them in order to protect your oral health. The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process

We start the wisdom tooth removal process by administering local anesthesia and, in some cases, sedation. Once you are comfortable, we will start removing your teeth. If they have fully erupted from your gumline, we may simply use an elevator to lift them, then grasp them with forceps and wiggle them free. If they are impacted (stuck fully or partially beneath the gumline), it might be necessary to create incisions in your gums or break the teeth into pieces in order to extract them.
