Amanda – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Amanda has worked as an extended functions dental assistant for several years and joined Caring Smiles Dental in 2019. She enjoys meeting and helping patients feel comfortable, confident and welcome at Caring Smiles Dental. Amanda is dedicated to providing excellent personalized care for each patient, and she’s excited to help patients have their best bright smile. Caring Smiles Dental is grateful for Amanda’s positive attitude and amazing work ethic.
Amanda is a long-time resident of the Portland area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends, and exploring new, awesome parks.
Marie – Dental Hygienist
Marie has worked as a dental hygienist in children’s dentistry as well as in specialist periodontal offices for almost 30 years. She started her career in Arizona, then continued practicing hygiene in Germany and Southern Florida. She has lived in Oregon for the past 24 years and loves it.
Marie’s primary goal as a dental hygienist is helping patients overcome dental fears. Marie believes that the best way to put people at ease is to treat them as part of the Caring Smiles Dental family! She loves being able to offer a busy mom the chance to relax, sit in a comfortable dental massage chair, and watch her favorite Netflix show.
After raising two children, Marie now enjoys her free time by biking up and down the Westside Regional Trail, gardening, kayaking, walking her collie, volunteering at church and traveling with her husband. Marie and her husband also enjoy visiting family in Florida and the Chicago area.
Aimee – Front Office
Aimee is our friendly front office staff who has been with us for several years now. She’s a graduate of San Dieguito High School and earned her bachelor’s from BYU.
Originally from Encinitas, California, Aimee has been married for over 25 years and has seven kids. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, walking, designing, traveling, and spending time with her family. A fun fact about Aimee is that she has lived in six states and traveled to 44 of the 50 states in the USA.
Cassidy – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Cassidy has been with our team since 2024, and her favorite part of her job is getting to build relationships with her patients and helping them keep their smiles healthy. She attended Carrington College for dental assisting training and earned her expanded functions certification there as well.
Whenever Cassidy isn’t at home, she loves playing games, riding motorcycles with her boyfriend, and hanging out with her friends. An interesting fact about Cassidy is that she once ate a slug for a $5 bet!
Effie – Dental Hygienist
Effie brings several years of experience as a dental hygienist to our patients. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients feel confident with their smiles. She earned her dental hygiene degree from Portland Community College and has her certification to administer local anesthesia.
Originally from Boise, Idaho, Effie has five cats and loves to crochet, read, swim, and craft in her free time. An interesting fact about her is that she has an identical twin!
