Get to Know Brooke Appelhans, DDS
Dr. Appelhans is a passionate general dentist in Beaverton with several years of experience. Her favorite part of her career is being able to help patients who have had a previously bad experience overcome that anxiety and create new, more positive memories at the dental office. Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Brooke Appelhans has wanted to be a dentist ever since she was a young girl. Her passion for dentistry led her to Hastings College in Nebraska, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. In 2021, she graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry with her Doctor in Dental Surgery, followed by the completion of a General Practice Residency at OHSU, where she strengthened her general dental skills and ability to treat patients with special needs and complex medical conditions. Today, she couldn’t be happier to lead the Caring Smiles Dental team!
Outside of the Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Appelhans grew up in Sterling, Colorado before moving to the Northwest for her dental residency program. She has fallen in love with exploring all that this area has to offer! When she isn’t working, she enjoys hiking beautiful trails in the Columbia Gorge, hanging out in the Mt. Hood wilderness area, enjoying quality time with her kitty Fergie, and exploring the many interesting local shops, vineyards, antique stores, parks, and restaurants in the area. She also likes to crochet, bake, and make homemade ice cream!
An interesting fact about Dr. Appelhans is that she broke both of her arms at the same time when she was five years old.
